Climbing with Manu Pellissier, Piolet d'Or 2016
Manu Pellissier is one of the earliest explorers of incredibly beautiful and preserved Antarctic massifs, like the Holtana. This is where he can deliver some of his finest mountaineer secrets.
High Mountain guide, former member of the High Mountain Military Group, logistics manager of the expeditions in Chamonix, Manu Pellissier has made an impressive number of ascents, including several first: the northern face of the Epéna in the winter (Vanoise – France); Northeastern pillar of Mount Augusta (Alaska); Persian Cat and Golden Saptula – Bisotun cliff (Iran). He has also participated in numerous international expeditions: the Chola Chan massif – Sichuan (China); Hindu Raj (Pakistan); Ice mills (Greenland); expedition “young explorers” with Mike Horn.
In 2016, he was rewarded with a Piolet d’Or for the ascent of the eastern face of Cerro Kishtwar (India). Respected by all, he is one of the best climbers of his generation. Over the past five years, he spent many months in Antarctica exploring the most beautiful places.
